Dear Addie,
…And that is a wrap on 6th grade, and what a year it was!
A lot of big changes happened. A new house, school, environment, teachers, and classmates, and while we did not quite know how moving to this larger school environment would work out – we didn’t hesitate and jumped in with both feet. Being your aide there for most of the year gave me a front-row seat at just how hard you worked every day. I’m not going to lie, it proved to be challenging for you sensory and socially wise, and I have to say I am so very proud of you for the self-advocating and coping skills you learned through it all.
We met some pretty amazing people on this journey, and I’m quite confident they will not hear “Who let the dogs out?” and not immediately think of you, baby girl. What a parting gift you have given them😉 And let us not forget what a blessing it was to see our beloved Ms. Caitlin take on a new career as a Behavioral Therapist – something she was truly born to do, in my opinion.
Great job this year, Ad!
Here’s to our next adventure – summer!
Love,
Mom
