Dear Addie,
After taking a bit of a spill and introducing your nose to the floor earlier in the week, a little fun couldn't have come at a better time as we celebrated a fall festival at school with friends. Bring on the festivities!
Dressed as the spookiest skeleton around, I had no idea you could look any scarier as when I arrived that afternoon for the party; my Detroit Lions baby was draped in a Tampa Bay Buccaneers flag! Ms. Rhonda, a die-hard fan, even taught you how to say, "Go Bucks!" oh, the horror! Lol! It was hilarious, and I appreciated the humor in it all, but remember, we roar around here baby girl 😉
Next up, after some games and food, we sat around in a sing-along circle with Ms. Alie, the resident music therapist, singing several spooky Halloween classics, including a modified version of "That's Amore!" to "You're a Werewolf." Side note: I might never sing that song normal again. It was super fun, and I don't want to brag, but you did that all sans headphones - Just saying.
With that good, solid warm-up of our voices, it was time for the grand finale event of trick or treating, where you and your friends practiced trick or treating etiquette – because while it is fun to get candy and all, the concept of not just going inside someone house is still a little lost on you. You all did fantastic and even scored some sweet treats.
Addie, this week, we had some spooktacular fun in anticipation of Halloween, and you once again have amazed me at how far you've come on certain things that once proved difficult for you.
Great job, baby girl.
Love,
Mom
